The total coronavirus disease cases in the Philippines rose to 2,698,232 after the detection of 7,835 additional COVID-19 infections, the Department of Health said Thursday.
In its 4 p.m. case bulletin, the DOH also reported that the number of new cases brought the active case tally to 84,850 from 82,411 active cases recorded on Wednesday, Oct.
Of the active infections, 77.2% are mild, 10.6% are asymptomatic, 3.6% are severe, and 1.5% are in critical condition.
The positivity rate is not at 14%, with 51,358 tests conducted nationwide.
